I grew up in rural Ohio — no sidewalks, no neighborhoods. But there was a deep sense of community where everyone knew each other. I came to Gahanna to wait tables at the Old Bag of Nails while in college. I didn’t expect to meet my husband there or buy a home blocks away, but that’s exactly what happened.
Since then, my desire to serve in Gahanna has only grown; from serving at the Old Bag, to helping families at GRIN, to proudly representing Ward 3 on City Council.
Now, raising our daughter Geneva here, every walk to Creekside, visit to our parks, and neighborhood scooter ride remind me why—to keep Gahanna a place we’re proud to call home.
On City Council, I’ve pursued responsible, future-focused investments that meet Gahanna’s evolving needs. Rather than build new, we redeveloped a previously vacant space —ideal for a modern city hall, senior center, and police department, saving taxpayers millions.
I also supported Gahanna’s first energy aggregation program, allowing residents to transition to clean energy while reducing their monthly bills.
I advocated to save the Community Grant Program. Now, much-needed funds directly support local nonprofits to deliver essential services efficiently and with dignity.
I will continue working to make Gahanna a community shaped by thoughtful development, a vibrant Creekside, and a city of neighborhoods and neighbors.
In a second term representing Ward 3, I’ll continue to support small businesses and non-profits, advocate for keeping dollars in our community, and champion the people of Gahanna.
I hope my daughter—and all our children—grow up proud of where they’re from: a Gahanna we’ve protected and strengthened, and a community they may one day choose to call home.
